This Boy: John Lennon In Liverpool
A new photographic exhibition
In New York:
The Paley Center For
Media
in New York is presenting
"This Boy: John Lennon In Liverpool" an exhibit of rare photographs of John Lennon from the
1940s and 1950s. This will be the most comprehensive public exhibit ever assembled of
photographs from Lennon's childhood.
The exhibit will run from October 6
through the end of the year. The exhibit is Open Wednesdays-Saturdays 10am-6pm. The Paley
Center for Media is located 25 West 52nd
Street in New York City, between 5th Avenue & 6th Avenue.

The exhibit is curated by Beatles scholar Martin
Lewis and Rod Davis of the Quarrymen.
In Los Angeles:
The "This Boy: John Lennon In Liverpool" exhibit will also been seen in Los Angeles - but only
for ten days, Friday October 1 through
Saturday October 10. The L.A. exhibit
will be at the
Mr. Music Head Gallery.
There will be an opening party on Friday October 1. This party will be open to the public
2pm to 4pm, with the
gallery staying open tlll 8pm that day. Thereafter, the exhibit will be open daily through
Sunday October 10 (except for Sunday October 2). The exhibit's open hours are Monday
through Saturday, 11am to 8pm, and Sunday 12 noon to 5pm.
The exhibit will run for
ten days. During this period, the gallery will also be exhibiting rare Beatles photographs by
Robert Whittaker (who shot the notorious Beatles "butcher cover") and Beatles artworks by artist
Alan Aldridge ("The Beatles Illustrated Lyrics").
The Mr. Music Head Gallery is located at 7511

Street.

The Grammy Museum
in Los Angeles
is presenting at exhibit of John Lennon memorabilia - "John Lennon, Songwriter" at the Grammy
Museum in Downtown L.A.
The Grammy Museum is open 7 days a week, from 11:30am to 7:30pm. Saturday opening
time is 10am.
